Information We Collect

What's Next logs IP addresses (a unique number assigned to every computer on the Internet) in order to improve security, analyze trends and administer the Site. We may track your movement within the site, the pages from which you were referred, access times and browser types. We only use this information in aggregate and do not link it to you personally.

What's Next also gathers user information to help us tailor our content and advertising to your current and future needs. For this reason, we may also ask you to participate in a survey but the information you provide will be used in the aggregate and will not be linked to you personally.

Tracking Technology: To gauge the effectiveness of our websites, we do collect some generic information about our visitors. Our web servers automatically recognize a visitor's domain name, the web page from which a visitor enters our site, which pages a visitor visits on our site, and how much time a visitor spends on each page. We use cookies to track use of our site and to track what sites users came from and go to after leaving our site. A "cookie" is a small data file that can be placed on your hard drive when you visit certain web sites. We may use cookies and other anonymous tracking technologies to collect, store and sometimes track information for statistical purposes and to improve the products and services we provide. We aggregate this information and use it to evaluate and improve our websites. In the future, we may also use other similar technologies on the site for the same purpose. If we do so, we will modify our privacy policy accordingly. See the "Notification of Changes" section below. These cookies do not enable third parties to access any of your personally identifiable information. We do not track user activity on sites outside of What's Next.

Advertisements: We may from time to time use various outside ad-serving companies to serve advertisements on our site. In the process of serving advertisements, the ad serving companies may place a cookie in your browser's cookie file and may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements on this site and other websites about goods and services that may be of interest to you. By delivering ads on our site, the ad-server is able to record what ads a user -- identified by the unique cookie -- has seen, and what pages the user was viewing when the ads were delivered. This web usage information is combined with other ad delivery information the ad-server has collected from your visits to our site and other sites not affiliated with What's Next. This non-personally identifiable information is used as part of the ad-serving process for reporting and to select and direct the ads you see online at our Site and other sites not affiliated with What's Next.
