Andrew Schiller of NeighborhoodScout.com has devised a ranking system that highlights some of the most desirable communities for retirees. Using criteria such as low crime rates, proximity to major urban centers and a high percentage of college-educated residents, Schiller assessed the relative strengths of thousands of communities to come up with a list of 30 top choices.
