A recent AARP survey shows that 70 percent of the nation's 20 million single Baby Boomers are dating, having sex regularly -- and loving it. Love at midlife means learning the dating rules all over again -- and grappling with new realities like Match.com, Viagra and HIV tests.
Indeed, a new industry is springing up to meet the needs of midlife daters -- everything from high-end sex toys to low-impact aerobics classes designed to attract and please the opposite sex. Even online dating sites have customized their offerings for 50-something singles who abandoned the bar scene around about 1980.
What's surprising: Older men are more motivated to settle down than their freewheeling female counterparts, who often value late-life independence and friendships over marital commitment. Just one of several role reversals and new truths keeping midlife men guessing...
