Non-profits are hiring again. Are you ready to make the switch?

According to career expert and Forbes blogger Kerry Hannon, after a major retrenchment in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crash, non-profits are now beginning to hire again.  This is great news for mid-career professionals and retirees who are interested in making the switch from the private sector to a non-profit.  Hannon bases her claim on evidence provided by David Garvey, the director of Encore! Hartford, an organization that places mid-career professionals and retirees in non-profit jobs, and on data from Idealist.org that polled 3,000 non-profit organizations in the U.S. this past summer.  [Read more by Kerry Hannon]
